Actually, I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances.

Philippians 4:11 (The Message)

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

Philippians 4:11 (New International Version)

Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.

Philippians 4:11 (New Living Translation)

Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don’t have. Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless—like chasing the wind.

Ecclesiastes 6:9 (New Living Translation)

Better what the eye sees
than the roving of the appetite.
This too is meaningless,
a chasing after the wind.

Ecclesiastes 6:9 (New International Version)

Just grab whatever you can while you can; don’t assume something better might turn up by and by. All it amounts to anyway is smoke. And spitting into the wind.

Ecclesiastes 6:9 (The Message)
