Sensible people control their temper;
they earn respect by overlooking wrongs.

Proverbs 19:11 (New Living Translation)

A man’s wisdom gives him patience;
it is to his glory to overlook an offense.

Proverbs 19:11 (New International Version)

Smart people know how to hold their tongue;
their grandeur is to forgive and forget.

Proverbs 19:11 (The Message)

    Howdy Kent,
    It is so great to see this site still up and going strong. Of all the blogs on the net, this site is my very special one. I have had a very hard time with this proverb in the last six years. It seems my wife and I have had a bad run of Pastors and preachers that are totally “self-serving, greedy, and basically liars in professing their love of Jesus.” There are times, I feel those so called Sheperds of Christian Churches are nothing but a covey of hand-maidens to the Devil. Hopefully, a true “Man-of-God” will soon come into our lives, to change that outlook, that I presently have.
