That means we will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with our lives. Each of us is an original.

Galatians 5:26 (The Message)

Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Galatians 5:26 (New International Version)

Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.

Galatians 5:26 (New Living Translation)

This is great scripture to keep in mind daily, especially in a world where we’re constantly being weighed against another, and expected to do so ourselves in order to determine our “value” or popularity!

  2. Wanda C. Boston says:

Pride, can make you do things that you wouldn’t ordinarily do. For instance my brother took his life because he was too proud to ask for help when the adversary had beaten him down to drugs, on the verge of loosing his home and thinking he was no good to his family anymore. All of this when we should learn to trust and believe in God and the power of His might. We must realize that His time and ways are not ours. We must all learn to be patient and hold on to Gods undying love. God is in control, not us and if you believe in Him and love Him, then all things will work together for the good. TO HIM BE ALL GLORY, HONOR AND PRAISE!!!!

Thank you, have a blessed day!
