The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

2 Peter 3:9 (New Living Translation)

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9 (New King James Version)

God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn’t want anyone lost. He’s giving everyone space and time to change.

2 Peter 3:9 (The Message)

i ask the lord several times a day when is it going to be my time when will i not feel this pain anymore and why do others prosper regardless of how they have hurt me? i prayed today for an answer or a word from the lord and i received this scripture today that answered my question, praise the lord for he is listening and is making sure things are were they should be by giving me and those who have hurt me space and time to change.

Sometimes I find it hard tobe paient. But, working with the Elderly in the nursing home, has taught me a whole lot of paietence. I take my time doing the things that they need to have done for them. I’ve come to realize that it’s not all about me & I shouldn’t be in a hurry. These people have taught me to stop, listen & take time to smell the roses & enjoy everything that this life has to offer & tobe thankful & grateful for the little things in life that are usually forgotten or passed by. I have a new found look on life & paietence really is a virtue.
