Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh!
Keep me from stupid sins,
from thinking I can take over your work.

Psalm 19:13 (The Message)

Keep your servant from deliberate sins!
Don’t let them control me.
Then I will be free of guilt
and innocent of great sin.

Psalm 19:13 (New Living Translation)

Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then will I be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.

Psalm 19:13 (New International Version)

Let’s start Monday, February 19th fresh with God. A new start,
clean from sin. Let God rule in your life today and be first and
foremost in all that you say and do. Thank you God!

Love this verse…like I always say, “God, keep me out of my own way!”

  2. Hello,

This is a great idea and looks good! thanks for sharing the information about the blog. One question though, I understand for study purposes that having several translations/versions can be useful in comparison study but I was curious – why do you use the Message?

Thanks and Thanks for your ministry, R.L.Koch

    Hi Randolph,
I like the way “The Message” states the scripture in today’s language and sometimes so off the wall that it really gets your attention. My goal using “The Message” is to get people to say, “I’ve never heard this before” and go do a search on other translations and see what they say. So I see it as a motivator to getting the busy person to study the Bible more.

    Hey admin, lol
that’s a great idea. Just wanted to say a good tool I just found to go and look up different translations at the same time is the “parallel bible” (you can google it) it lists all the translations of the verse for comparison…I think it’ll be useful anyways, just thought I’d share.

I’ve been enjoying the daily scriptures btw Thanks! It’s a great way to start my day!

Regarding ‘God’s Direction for My Life’
This was a hot topic at our evening Bible Study on Sunday, Feb 18th. Then to have God reinforce this for me via your Daily Scripture on Monday morning was truly wonderful. It is SO good when God’s people are used to help each other grow in our trust and FAITH in HIM. So often we try to ‘take back control’ and are not even aware, as it can be a very subtle thing. I thank God for your ministry as God has used the Daily Scripture numerous times to reinforce a life lesson HE is taking me thru or perhaps to encourage and cause me to stay on the path HE has chosen for me. Thank you Kent for your faithfulness to what HE has called you to!
