Forgiveness – Proverbs 19:11
|
Smart people know how to hold their tongue;
their grandeur is to forgive and forget.
Proverbs 19:11 (The Message)
A man’s wisdom gives him patience;
it is to his glory to overlook an offense.
Proverbs 19:11 (New International Version)
Sensible people control their temper;
they earn respect by overlooking wrongs.
Proverbs 19:11 (New Living Translation)

I am a changed man and I appreciate all that Jesus Christ has done for me and my family (especially all my little children). I realize sometimes it’s difficult to except other individuals for who they are just because they look a certain way or dress in a particular manner. I found out that prejudice is just another way for EVIL itself to gain control over our lives and I’m not going to ever let that happen. I am but a humble servant of The Lord God Jesus Christ and need not to fear no man the The Almighty One Himself.

This scripture gave me confirmation that my spiritual integrity was solid. After battling an issue in my church and much time spent in prayer, but the grace of the Holy Spirit, I stepped out in faith and came before the congregation and repented, and asked for forgiveness even though i felt like i was the one who had been wronged. Little did I know that I would be changed that moment. I talked with love, walked with grace and handled myself with poise that even I did not know that I had.
Afterwards, i left as a confident, strong, faithful sister in Christ! I am at peace and rest in my Saviors arms. My joy has been restored. I weathered that storm with Jesus at my side. I love you Lord and I praise you Father, will you be my valentine?
A blessing of a passage when I really need the reminder. As a Christian I flesh out and thats why I need Christ because I am far from perfect.
