One day spent in your house, this beautiful place of worship,
beats thousands spent on Greek island beaches.
I’d rather scrub floors in the house of my God
than be honored as a guest in the palace of sin.

Psalm 84:10 (The Message)

Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

Psalm 84:10 (New International Version)

A single day in your courts
is better than a thousand anywhere else!
I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God
than live the good life in the homes of the wicked.

Psalm 84:10 (New Living Translation)

One Response to “Contentment”

  1. I was glad when they said to me lets us go into the house of the Lord. My feet shall be standing within thy gates. In God’s house you will
    find peace, love, happiness and joy. A thousand years with the Lord is like one day in his court. Let us enter his gates with thanksgiving and worship. Hallelujah!
