“What Can I Do This Day?” copyright 2005 John J. Rigo “Roses Amidst Thorns”

The road we travel is not the same for all of us.

    REACH OUT!

When you see someone in pain.

    REACH OUT!

Give some part of yourself to make their day,
a day filled with less pain.
Love goes beyond just words in our daily life.
We need to give beyond ourselves.

    REACH OUT!

    Give a part of yourself.
You will only become more human
    in your caring and giving.

    REACH OUT!

You too, have felt the pain of loneliness
    and deep blackness.
Love came to you in blessings you never thought would be.
    They came to you.

    REACH OUT!

    Remember to share your fortune.
    We are one,
that is the soul of all of us.

Yesterday, my wife, Linda called me from Baylor hospital in Dallas. The news was not good. Possible breast cancer was discovered in her other breast. Linda is a survivor of ten years of previous breast cancer. Linda is the most beautiful and unselfish person, I have ever known in my life. I request in a humble matter for your prayers for her speedy recovery, so that she may return to her insurance business in serving others, as well as her church ministries as a Stephen Leader. Over the last several months, it has been my personal honor to share my charity-centered poetry with this site from my two published poetry books. I have found the individuals of this site, very caring and loving, in their concern for others.

    Hi John,

I personally will keep both you and Linda in my prayers and will pray that she has a speedy recovery.

I have greatly appreciated your poetry and input into the site.

May God be with you during this rough time.

    Dear Kent,

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful response. This site is in a word “Awesome” and a wonderful labor of love on your part. I spend some of my off time maintaining two wordpress sites. One is for my poetry and community writing, while the other is a no-charge contractor referral service for our second home on Cedar Creek Lake in Texas. As basic as the sites are, they take a great deal of time. I cannot invision the effort this site must take in this great christian community service that you render to the public. Thank you for its daily inspiration.

    John
